I have a Server with System Drive C: an D: i’m install sccm on C: that maks a Programfiles (x86) installation of sccm, i am set the No_SMS_On_Drive.sms to c:\ an configure all source files on D: also the configuration in the sccm rolesit works fine, but i find a bug, so i configured the PXE role after install WDS, first i forgot to set the rights in AD on the System Management OU. i set the IP-helper on Routers an config the DHCP-options 066 with IP-Adress of SCCM-Server and 067 with the path to the wdsnbp.com file (smsboot\x86\wdsnbp.com)
after this i tested with PXE-Boot on Client (BIOS is configured :-))
so i have everytime a failer on clinet with E32, T0F and stuff.
the problem that i saw, is the WDS installs the files on Server in store C:\windows\system32\reminst\boot\x86 (x64, ia64) wdsnbp.com and all other files…
The PXE role install an folder Remoteinstall with sharename reminst direct on D: but the folders D:\reminst\boot\x86 (x64, ia64) are empty, so i copy the files from system32 folder to reminst on D: than i set in de registry
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\ Services\WDSServer\Providers\WDSPXE
Set the registry value to: UseDHCPPorts = 0and now it works fine after i published the x64 and x86 Bootimages to the smspxeimages$ DP’s
i hope it works, you can controll the log PXESetup.log and smsts.log
Edit: When you install sccm bevore you add the rolle WDS you have this problem. 🙂
have fun
