Management Point Problems

• If you have an Management Point and a lot of failures, in this logs:
  – mpMSI.log
  – MPSetup.log
  – mpcontrol.log

You have the following message code inside on of the mpMSI.log
unable to create the Internet virtual directory CCM_Incoming
The error code is 800CC801

so you have to remove the Management Point on this server, (is not a different between Site Server or a primary Site Server), after remove uninstall the BITS and all his components, reboot the Server, wait for the rest of uninstall the BITS. Reboot the Server again and install first the BITS feature, after this install the Management Point Role.
For success Installation check the Log MPSetup.log, if you like more details so you can control the mpMSI.log, is it very fast in the Trace32 view.

in the article is mentioned that this is for Server 2008 32 and 64 Bit, but i have this on an Server 2008R2

After this you can check the mpcontrol.log, if there an Error like:
CryptVerifyCertificateSignatureEx returned error 0x80090006.
it means like a good error in the mpMSI.log
